Mani has always been fascinated by the “why” behind people’s choices and emotions.
Beginning a career in forensic sciences at the turn of the millennium, she went on to work in investigative teams across India, including many high-profile murders and sucides.
Over time, her focus shifted from what happened in a case to what people were carrying inside – fear, pressure, unspoken trauma. That curiosity led her to formal training in forensic psychology and advanced Behavioural Nneuropsychiatry programmes taught from Harvard Medical School.
Today, Mani dedicates her time to counselling women at care centres across Delhi. She likes to say, her style is warm but clear-spoken: listen deeply, ask precise questions, and then work together to build practical changes one can sustain — in sleep, mood, relationships and daily functioning.
For her, VinayakM is not just a clinic; it is a quiet counter-culture to the idea that women must just “manage somehow” or "adjust".
